Downtown Dearborn’s highly anticipated three-part summer event series is returning, bringing a wave of energy, entertainment, and community spirit to both East and West Downtown Dearborn. Occurring once a month from June through August, this year’s festivities will be hosted in two of the city’s PEACE Parks, offering a diverse lineup of activities for residents and visitors of all ages.
Dearborn Summer Market kicks off the season (June 12)
On Friday, June 12, 2026, the first Dearborn Summer Market at PEACE Park West, 22271 West Village Dr, takes place from 4-8 p.m. The open-air market will feature more than 40 artisan vendors throughout the season showcasing a variety of goods, including baked delicacies, books, apparel, custom jewelry, and handmade crafts.
Families can enjoy interactive activities alongside crafts, face painting, balloon art, variety performers, games, and exclusive giveaways provided by the Dearborn Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and their event partners; Exclusive Event Rentals, PCT Institute of Healthcare, and Galata Sweets. The evening will be soundtracked by live music from the Crampton Brothers. The City will host two additional Summer Market days on July 17 and Aug. 14 with additional activities and vendors.
Movies in the Park (June 17)
Downtown Dearborn’s Movies in the Park series returns to PEACE Park East, 13621 Michigan Ave, on Wednesday, June 17. Families are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs for a special screening of the animated film, Zootopia 2.
The East DDA and local partners have teamed up to provide special perks for moviegoers. Attendees can enjoy complimentary popcorn courtesy of the Splash and Snack food truck, hydration station provided by PCT Institute of Health Care and Dearborn Fresh, and free ice cream sponsored by Custard Co. Additional snacks will be available for purchase. The East DDA, along with additional event partners such as The Friendship Factory, will host activities and promotional giveaways. All summer movie screenings will begin at dusk, timed with the sunset, between 8:30-9 p.m.
Movies in the Park will also take place on July 23, featuring the Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and on Aug. 27, with a sponsored movie in collaboration with The Arab American National Museum.
Wellness in the Park expands for the summer (June 27-28)
The Wellness in the Park series is returning to PEACE Park West, located at 22271 West Village Dr on Saturday, June 27 from 11am to 2pm. The event is designed to promote holistic well-being through unique, interactive experiences. Attendees can participate in a joyful Pilates & Puppies class and find mindfulness through Yoga. Beyond movement, guests will have the opportunity to build custom bouquets with Mia’s Flower Truck, snap keepsake photos in Instante's Photobooth, and select a custom patch to be sewn on-site by Sorry Not Sorry Goods.
This celebration of health and local creativity is proudly supported by community partners: Underground Pilates, Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit, Orangetheory Fitness Dearborn, Brome Modern Eatery, EGG BAR, and Yelp Detroit.
Building on the success of past events, the Dearborn Public Health Department, with support from the DDA, is piloting an expanded schedule this June. The series will introduce a second day on Sunday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., focusing on men’s mental health education and featuring a fitness class instructed by Gunny’s Garage.
Admission to the park is free and open to the public; however, registration is strictly required to participate in all fitness classes. Registration links will be available soon through Downtown Dearborn's social media channels.
