The City Beautiful Commission is a multi-member body that consists of members who are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
Mission of the Commission
The mission of the City Beautiful Commission is to promote beautification efforts and public interest in the general improvement of the appearance of the City of Dearborn.
Annual programs include: Residential Standards of Excellence Awards, Business Standards of Excellence Awards, School Clean-Up Parades, and the Dearborn Aglow Holiday Home Decorating Program.

City Beautiful Commission Awards
Dearborn Aglow: Spring Program
Dearborn Aglow: Spring is an annual awards program hosted by the City Beautiful Commission to honor homes with outstanding seasonal landscaping and exterior decorations.
Nominations for the spring awards will be accepted through 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Volunteer City Beautiful Commissioners will tour Dearborn neighborhoods between March 20 and March 24 to judge holiday and seasonal outdoor displays. Residents are encouraged to keep their outdoor decorations lit and their addresses easily visible from the street during this time.
Honorees are expected to be announced by the commission around March 27.
