City Beautiful Commission opens nominations for Dearborn Fall Aglow awards through Oct. 20
Published Oct. 7, 2025
Dearborn residents are invited to nominate homes with excellent natural displays and landscaping with autumn and harvest themes, as well as outdoor exhibits celebrating Halloween, for the 2025 Dearborn Fall Aglow recognition program.
The City Beautiful Commission encourages residents to nominate their property or a neighbor’s by Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, for potential recognition. Nominations may be submitted by calling 311 or visiting Dearborn.gov/CityBeautiful.
City Beautiful Commissioners will visit each Dearborn neighborhood to select their honorees, and will make sure to review nominated homes. The Commission will choose the top three honorees and up to seven honorable mentions in each of 17 districts that cover the city. Honorees will be announced in early November. Top honorees will receive window decals.
The City Beautiful Commission presents Dearborn Aglow awards programs for outdoor displays in the spring, fall, and winter, and honors homeowners for excellent property maintenance and sustainable gardens in the summer. The commission also selects businesses for outstanding curb appeal and works with Dearborn Public Schools to promote environmental sustainability, recycling, and anti-littering campaigns.
City Beautiful top awardees are honored at an annual awards ceremony and reception hosted by Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud each winter.
