Downtown Dearborn’s Summer Series concludes successful event season

From the Summer Market and Movie Nights to the Pilates in the Park event, it has been a summer filled with community, connection, and countless memories. The City of Dearborn’s Economic Development Department officially closed out the 2025 Downtown Dearborn Summer Series, with its final Summer Market on Friday, Aug. 22, 2025.
Jordan Twardy, Economic Development Director, stated, “We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who made this season a resounding success. The Dearborn Summer Market brought together an incredible array of local vendors, artisans, and entrepreneurs and service providers, creating a vibrant marketplace that truly showcased the best of our city.”
Dearborn Summer Market
With an average of 900+ attendees per event, the annual Dearborn Summer Market was a hub of activity that showcased the community's support for small businesses. More than 40 unique vendors participated throughout the season, offering everything from handmade crafts and baked goods to free activities for families and community resources.
The 2025 Downtown Dearborn Summer Market is hosted by the West Dearborn Downtown Development Authority and event partners included: Phlebotomy Career Training, Galata Sweets, KW Legacy Keller Williams, Bike Dearborn, Exclusive Event Rentals, and Kid Chemist.
Downtown Dearborn Movies in the Park
The Downtown Dearborn Movies series, held at PEACE Park East, drew approximately 1,500+ community members for screenings this summer. The combination of partner-provided snacks and the movie itself created a memorable experience for all attendees
The movies are hosted by the East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority and event partners included: Pincoast Cafe, Custard Co., and Exclusive Event Rentals.
Pilates in the Park
New this year, the West Downtown Development Authority in collaboration with Underground Pilates hosted a new wellness event in the heart of the downtown district at PEACE Park West. All 9 sessions were sold out, with more than 240 participants joining for outdoor classes in the park. Thanks to a partnership with Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit, attendees were able to get into shape with the help of puppies available for adoption at the events. Other program partners included: Brome Modern Eatery, KW Legacy Dearborn, Robusto's Cigar Bar & Bistro, and Skin MD Med Spa.
