Dearborn celebrates its rich coffee culture with Dearborn Coffee Week

The City of Dearborn is set to host its second annual Dearborn Coffee Week, a celebration of the city's bustling coffee scene. From Friday, Sept. 26, through Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, the community is invited to explore the famed local coffee businesses.

Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud stated, “Dearborn Coffee Week celebrates the numerous cafes throughout the city, underscoring their role in establishing Dearborn as a true coffee capital. Our second annual event is an opportunity for our community to come together, enjoy tastings, share history, and together, appreciate our vibrant coffee culture.”

The week-long event will feature a variety of activities designed to engage residents and visitors alike. See our digital coffee map.

The festivities begin with a celebratory Coffee Tasting Kickoff on Friday, Sept. 26, from 5-8 p.m. at PEACE Park West, 22271 West Village Dr. This free event will feature a range of expertly brewed coffee tastings from local participating shops, accompanied by live music, on-site caricature art, and special giveaways. 

Throughout the week, various local businesses will host coffee-themed Daily Coffee Pop-Ups & Discounts from Saturday, Sept. 27, through Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, offering unique experiences and promotions. 

The week will conclude with a special public premiere of the short documentary "Dearborn: The Coffee Capital," created in partnership with Bolt Detroit, on Friday, Oct. 3, from 6-8 p.m. at PEACE Park East, 13621 Michigan Ave. This final event will feature a strolling gallery, henna art, entertainment, and refreshments.

Dearborn Coffee Week is supported by the East and West Dearborn Dearborn Downtown Development Authorities, the Warren Business District Improvement Authority, Haraz Coffee House, Qahwah House, Galata Sweets, the Arab American National Museum, Bakri Coffee, Ojisan Puffy, KW Legacy Keller Williams, and Exclusive Event Rentals.
