The Mission
To foster meaningful connections between residents, community leaders, businesses, foundations, and organizations that enhance the lives of those who live, work, and play in the City of Dearborn. The department showcases the impact of city government initiatives, inspiring others to contribute and get involved, regardless of the ability to give. Philanthropy & Grants connects the community with initiatives that matter, building a stronger, more vibrant quality of life for everyone in and around the city.
What does the Philanthropy & Grants Office do?
The Department of Philanthropy & Grants strengthens Dearborn by fostering meaningful connections between residents, community leaders, businesses, foundations, and organizations. We connect people and partners to community-driven initiatives that enhance the quality of life for everyone who lives, works, and plays in the city.
In partnership with all City departments, we lead the coordination of grant-related activities, monitor funding opportunities, and secure resources from federal, state, and philanthropic sources. From proposal development to compliance and reporting, Philanthropy & Grants supports departments throughout the entire grant process.
Their mission is to expand the City's capacity to deliver high-impact programs and services through strategic, mission-aligned funding.
