City buildings closed for July 4 holiday

Several City of Dearborn buildings will be closed during the Independence Day holiday on Friday, July 4, 2025. Closures will impact the Dearborn Administrative Center, the 19th District Court, the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, and the Dearborn Ice Skating Center (DISC).

All Dearborn Public Library branches will be closed Friday, July 4, and Saturday, July 5. 

City pools at Dunworth and Ford Woods will be open from 12 to 6 p.m. on the holiday. The Ford Woods pool will be closed on Sunday, July 6.

Trash, recycling, and yard waste pickup will be delayed by one day on Friday, July 4. Friday’s district will be serviced on Saturday, July 5. Pickup will follow the regular schedule beginning Monday, July 7.

Per state law, fireworks may be used between the hours of 11 a.m. and 11:45 p.m. between Sunday, June 29, and Saturday, July 5. More information about the rules for using fireworks in Dearborn is available at Dearborn.gov.
