Program Information & Eligibility

The Home Rehabilitation Program (HRP) is a comprehensive program that assists low and moderate-income owner-occupants in rehabilitating their homes. Applicants must have owned and occupied a one-family Dearborn residence for at least one year. A zero-interest deferred mortgage will be recorded against the property for a maximum of 20 years.

 

Examples of eligible repairs include:

Roof replacement, aluminum/vinyl siding, gutters & downspouts
Plumbing repair & furnace/water heater replacement, major sewer repairs
Porch and step repairs, concrete replacement (Code Violation required)
Garage demolition/removal, lead hazard reduction,
Repair of defective doors, windows, storms
