The Dearborn Police Department is proud to announce its free Youth Traffic Safety Course returning this summer, aimed at preparing young, new, or soon-to-be drivers for the road ahead. This educational initiative is open to Dearborn residents and designed to promote smart, responsible driving habits among local youth.
Each session runs for approximately three hours and includes a mix of classroom instruction and real-world simulations presented by experienced Dearborn Police Officers. The interactive curriculum will focus on safe driving practices, the dangers of reckless and distracted driving, and realistic scenarios that reinforce critical decision-making behind the wheel. A Q&A session will follow, giving participants a chance to speak directly with officers and ask questions.
Courses will be held at the Dearborn Police Department Training Classroom, located at 16099 Michigan Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following dates:
- Wednesday, June 25, 2025
- Wednesday, July 9, 2025
