Several City of Dearborn buildings will be closed during the Independence Day holiday on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, 2026. Closures will impact the Dearborn Administrative Center, the 19th District Court, the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, and the Dearborn Ice Skating Center (DISC).
The Henry Ford Centennial Library, 16301 Michigan Ave, will be closed from Friday, July 3, to Sunday, July 5, 2026.
On Saturday, July 4, Dunworth pool will be open from 12 to 6 p.m. Ford Woods pool and all neighborhood pools will be open from 1-6 p.m.
On Friday, July 3, Summer Stevens, Ten Eyck, and Lapeer pools will have extended hours from 1-8 p.m. due to extreme temperatures. All pools will be open during regular operating hours on Sunday, July 5.
Trash, recycling, and yard waste pickup will be on a regular collection schedule for Friday, July 3 and the week of July 6, 2026.
By state law, fireworks may be used between the hours of 11 a.m. and 11:45 p.m. between Monday, June 29, and Saturday, July 4. More information about the fireworks ordinance in Dearborn is available at Dearborn.gov.
