Memorial Day Parade

The City of Dearborn is home to Michigan's longest-running Memorial Day Parade. Featuring over 90 community groups, schools, marching bands, and guests of honor each year, this respected city tradition honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

The parade is held in consultation with the Dearborn Allied War Veterans Council (DAWVC).

Dearborn's 99th annual Memorial Day parade will be held on Monday, May 26, 2025.

Parade Route

The parade route will travel through east Dearborn, beginning at the intersection of Shaefer Rd and Michigan Ave and concluding in front of the Henry Ford Centennial Library (16301 Michigan Ave, Dearborn, MI 48126).

 

Memorial Day Parade

Parade Schedule & Remembrance Ceremony

The Memorial Day parade will open with a military funeral procession beginning at 9:30 a.m. 

 

The parade will follow beginning at approximately 10 a.m. 

 

A remembrance ceremony will be held at the Henry Ford Centennial Library’s Veteran Memorial Park immediately following the parade’s conclusion, which will include remarks from Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud, the parade Grand Marshal(s), and more.

Participate in the Parade

Applications to participate in the 2025 Memorial Day Parade will open on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025. Applications and hold harmless agreements must be submitted by no later than Friday, April 18, 2025.

Agreement for Parade Participants

Prospective participants are required to review and sign a hold harmless agreement with the City of Dearborn. Paper applications are also available for pickup at the Dearborn Administrative Center.
