Companies interested in becoming a contractor for the City of Dearborn can review solicitations for goods and services online at BidNet Direct. The Purchasing Division makes decisions to procure goods and services for the City and its employees using sound, prudent, and consistent purchasing practices to serve residents at the best value.

Current Solicitation Opportunities

All current purchasing opportunities are posted through BidNet. 

Companies can register with BidNet Direct (either free or with a subscription charge) and view opportunities within the City of Dearborn and other governmental agencies. 

 

 

Dearborn solicitation documents must be downloaded from the BidNet Direct website.  

Responses must be uploaded to BidNetDirect.com by the due date and time specified for each solicitation.

Local and Veteran Preference

Under the City of Dearborn ordinances, vendor selection preference is offered first to local bidders, Dearborn-based businesses, and Veteran-owned companies as part of the City’s economic growth strategy.

City Ordinances State:

Contracts up to $100,000 will allow the Dearborn-based business within 10% of the lowest responsible and responsive bid, with all other things equal, shall be deemed the best bid if it meets all other qualifications.
Veteran-owned businesses within 5% of the lowest responsible and responsive bid, all other things equal, shall be deemed the best bid if it meets all other qualifications.
