Created in Oct. 2018 as a non-traditional problem-solving court, the Dearborn Veterans Treatment Court focuses on local nonviolent offenders with underlying medical and social problems which have contributed to recurring contacts with the criminal justice system. The Veterans Treat Court (VTC) promotes sobriety, recovery, and stability through a coordinated response that involves collaboration with volunteer mentors, and community and state-wide partners along the VA healthcare administration and its medical centers.
