Storm Cleanup Information
Following severe storms on Sept. 3, Dearborn Department of Public Works crews are working throughout the city to clear fallen trees, branches, and storm debris. Crews will prioritize blocked roadways, downed trees, and immediate safety hazards before moving on to routine cleanup. Cleanup efforts will continue over the next several days as needed.
To report an issue, call 311 or 313-943-2239.
Tree Branch Pickup
Residents are asked to cut branches into sections no longer than 4 feet and weighing no more than 50 pounds and place them neatly at the curb for pickup.
Report Storm Damage
For fallen trees blocking roadways or other immediate safety hazards, call 911. To report a downed tree that does not pose an immediate hazard, call 311 or 313-943-2239.
Downed Power Lines
Never approach a downed power line. Stay at least 25 feet away and assume all wires are energized. Report downed wires or trees creating an immediate danger by calling 911. You can also report power outages and downed wires to DTE Energy at 1-800-477-4747.
Traffic Signal Reminder
If you encounter an intersection where the traffic signals are not working, treat it as a four-way stop. Slow down, proceed cautiously, and watch for other vehicles and pedestrians.
Please use extra caution while traveling as first responders and DPW crews continue working throughout the city.
