Due to forecasted inclement weather, Detroit and Dearborn residents will now gather on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, for the fifth annual Dearborn x Detroit Community Block Party, a free community event that brings residents from both cities together for free food, games, activities, live entertainment, and access to community resources.
The event originally planned for Sept. 19 has been rescheduled due to forecasted inclement weather.
The rescheduled event on Sept. 27 will be held from 2-5 p.m. in Detroit and Dearborn’s Aviation Subdivision, between Miller Rd and Tireman Ave, at Littlefield St and Esper Blvd.
The annual block party gives residents, families, community organizations, and local partners from Detroit and Dearborn a chance to connect and strengthen relationships across the two communities. The event will also feature neighborhood resources and activities for residents of all ages.

The fifth annual block party continues the communities’ shared tradition of bringing residents together and providing opportunities to connect with neighbors and local resources.
