Vehicles must be removed from City streets on Saturday, Jan 24, 2026. If a Snow Emergency is declared, outdoor city sirens will sound approximately one hour before plowing begins, and ticket enforcement will follow. 

The Department of Public Works is repairing a water main break at 21742 Olmstead between Monroe and Elmdale streets. Please avoid this area while crews are working, and review the following water use instructions once service is restored. 

Extreme winter weather, including heavy snow, dangerously low temperatures, and wind chills below zero is expected this weekend. Dearborn warming centers will be available at the Police Department, The Center, and the Centennial Library from Jan. 23-25.

Dearborn's Snow Emergency is still in effect today, Jan. 22, 2026, as City road crews continue street clearing and salting operations. To ensure effective snow removal, any vehicles not moved are subject to ticketing by the Police Department.

The 19th District Court will be closed to the public on Friday, January 16, 2026.

Most city buildings will be closed on Monday, Jan. 19, in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Trash and recycling collection schedules will not be impacted.
