The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a Tornado Warning for Wayne County in southeastern Michigan until 4:45 p.m. EDT. At 3:44 p.m. EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Clarkston to near West Bloomfield to Salem to near Saline, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Severe thunderstorms will be near Livonia, Southfield, Novi, Canton, Northville, and Belleville around 350 PM EDT.
Romulus and Dearborn around 355 PM EDT.
Taylor and Greenfield Village around 400 PM EDT.
Flat Rock, Detroit, and Wyandotte around 405 PM EDT.
Downtown Detroit, Trenton, and Belle Isle around 410 PM EDT.
Grosse Pointe and Grosse Ile around 415 PM EDT.
Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Melvindale, Gibraltar, New Boston, Rockwood, Harper Woods, Westland, Grosse Pointe Shores, Ecorse, Grosse Pointe Woods, and Woodhaven.
