City Beautiful Commission welcomes nominations for annual Dearborn Aglow: Fall awards program by Oct. 10

Dearborn residents are invited to nominate homes with excellent seasonal flowers, adornments, and outdoor holiday displays this autumn for the 2024 Dearborn Aglow: Fall awards program. 

The City Beautiful Commission encourages residents to nominate their property or a neighbor’s by Thursday, Oct. 10, for potential recognition. Nominations may be submitted by calling 313-943-2150 or visiting Dearborn.gov/CityBeautiful.

Volunteers from the City Beautiful Commission will browse each Dearborn neighborhood and visit nominated homes before choosing their top honorees by Oct. 25. Honorees will receive an award sign or sticker to display at their home throughout the fall season. 

The City Beautiful Commission presents Dearborn Aglow awards programs for outdoor displays in the spring, fall, and winter and honors homeowners for excellent property maintenance and sustainable gardens in the summerThe commission also selects businesses for outstanding curb appeal and works with Dearborn schools to promote environmental sustainability, recycling, and anti-littering campaigns.

City Beautiful awards programs honorees are celebrated at an annual awards ceremony and reception hosted by Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud each winter.
