Dearborn Coffee Week returns for third annual celebration
Published Sept. 3, 2026
Dearborn Coffee Week is back for its third year, bringing the city together to celebrate local coffee culture, from Sept. 25 through Oct. 2, 2026. Highlights for this year include live entertainment, vibrant gatherings, community-focused events, and a showcase of local coffee culture, before transitioning into a week of citywide coffee shop specials, workshops, and neighborhood activations.
The festivities launch on Friday, Sept. 25, with a Kick off Celebration at PEACE Park West, 22271 W Village Dr, bringing together coffee shops from across the city for tasting opportunities, coffee sales, interactive coffee stations, photo ops, giveaways, and music.
The opening weekend continues on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 5-7 p.m. at PEACE Park South, 1911 Salina St, with a special Jalasat music event supported by the Economic Development Department and the Dix-Vernor Business Improvement Authority.
Jalasat is a cultural house without walls, creating spaces for gathering, cultural experiences, and connection wherever people come together. Performers at the Dearborn Coffee Week event include Amanda Ekery, Esa Mohamed (Esa Mighty), and Aiman Yahya. Family-friendly activities will also be available, including local coffee. Follow @jalasat.co for more information.
On Sunday, Sept. 27, the West Downtown Development Authority will support bringing the first-ever DRIP Coffee Party to Dearborn at PEACE Park West from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The DRIP team is a collaboration between City Glow Yoga, BOLT Detroit, @d_troisgirlie, Cafecito Alvarez, Detroit Is Cool, and a growing network of community partners for each of their events. Following its wide success in Detroit where it attracted hundreds of attendees from across the metro area, this premier event series is making its Dearborn debut in partnership with Bakri Coffee. Registration is required to attend and will open soon. Follow @dripcoffeeparty for more information.
Throughout the remainder of the week, from Sept. 26 through Oct. 2, participating Dearborn coffee shops will activate their own spaces through events to highlight coffee, culture, and community through a variety of activities including exclusive daily specials, live music, trivia, screen printing, and specialized coffee and henna workshops.
Dearborn Coffee Week officially wraps up on Friday, Oct. 2, from 6-8 p.m. at PEACE Park East, 13621 Michigan Ave, with a vibrant closing celebration honoring the heart of the city’s coffee scene. Designed as a grand finale to bring the community together one last time, the evening will showcase musical performances, dance, and hands-on interactive stations. Attendees can look at a shared space to reflect on a full week of local flavor, and connection.
