The City of Dearborn is encouraging residents to help maintain their favorite parks and green spaces.
The annual Adopt-A-Park program is officially open for the 2026 season, encouraging local individuals, families and organizations to invest time and pride in the community’s parks and shared outdoor spaces by keeping them clean, and periodically picking up and bagging trash for disposal by city crews. Gloves and trash bags are provided.
As part of Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud’s broader mission to enhance neighborhoods through projects like the $30 million PEACE Parks initiative, the Adopt-A-Park program focuses on basic maintenance and essential upkeep that keeps Dearborn’s green spaces vibrant and beautiful, with simple but powerful maintenance tasks.
