Free document shredding for Dearborn residents will be held on Saturday, May 9

The City of Dearborn is offering a free document shredding day for residents from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Dearborn Department of Public Works (DPW) Yard, 2951 Greenfield Road, just south of Rotunda Drive. 

This shredding service is available exclusively to Dearborn residents, who must show proof of residency.

Each person is asked to bring a maximum of five office-sized boxes of personal paper documents, each weighing a maximum of 50 pounds. Documents may also be placed in paper yard waste bags. 

The DPW Yard will not be open for any other services.
