Dearborn residents are invited to nominate homes with excellent seasonal flowers, adornments, and front yard displays this summer for the 2025 Residential Standard of Excellence (RSOE) recognition program.
The City Beautiful Commission will once again be selecting outstanding properties for honors in the 2025 RSOE recognition program and is asking residents to nominate front yards that are well-maintained and visually appealing. The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
The City Beautiful Commission encourages residents to nominate their property or a neighbor’s for potential recognition. Nominations and an optional photo may be submitted online at Dearborn.gov/CityBeautiful or by calling 313-943-2150.
Volunteers from the City Beautiful Commission will review homes across Dearborn from mid-June to mid-July, and will choose up to three properties within each of the City’s 17 districts for top honors, and up to 27 properties in each district for honorable mention.
Top honorees will receive a congratulatory lawn sign announcing the selection of their outstanding front yards. All chosen properties will be sent a letter and a window decal to display at their home throughout the season.
The City Beautiful Commission honors homeowners for excellent property maintenance and sustainable gardens in the summer, and hosts the Dearborn Aglow programs in the spring, fall and winter. The commission also selects businesses for outstanding curb appeal in the fall, and works with Dearborn schools to promote environmental sustainability, recycling, and anti-littering campaigns in the spring.
City Beautiful awards programs honorees are celebrated at an annual awards ceremony and reception hosted by Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud each winter.
