Swim Lessons

The Center offers swimming lessions for children, featuring nine levels of instruction, and a class for adults. 

  • Parent and Tot (ages 6 months - 3 years): Parent must accompany the child into the water.
  • Preschool (ages 3 -5 years): Basic water and safety skills and rules.
  • Sea Shells (Beginner and ages 6 years +): Floating, submerging, breath-holding.
  • Sea Horses (Beginner): Crawl stroke, using a kickboard, jumping into the water.
  • Sunfish (Intermediate): Crawl stroke, breathing, and jumping into deep water.
  • Sting Rays (Advanced): Improve crawl stroke, backstroke, deep water.
  • Barracudas (Beginner): Improve crawl stroke and backstroke, diving, safety, swimming 25 yards.
  • Dolphins (Intermediate): Elementary backstroke and breaststroke and underwater swimming.
  • Seals (Advanced): Sidestroke, starts and turns, distance swimming, and backstroke.
  • Adults: Designed to accommodate adults (ages 16 and over) of all levels of ability in a group setting.

Classes are limited to 6 participants at a time. 

 

Class Rates

- Center Member: $70
- Resident: $75
- Non-Resident: $90

Participants over age 13 must also purchase a pool tag.

 

Private Swim Lessons

Private swim lessons are also available for would-be swimmers of all ages. A minimum of two lessons is required. 

Lesson scheduling is subject to instructor availability.
