Downtown Dearborn is set to become a festive winter destination this December, hosting two signature, free holiday celebrations for the entire family: the inaugural Downtown Dearborn Ice Sculpture Walk and the annual Jingle Bell Bash.
The holiday season kicks off on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, from 4-7 p.m., with the first-ever Ice Sculpture Walk, hosted by the East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority (EDDDA) at Peace Park East, 13621 Michigan Ave.
This one-day event invites visitors to stroll through a gallery of ice carvings, including a live carving demonstration. Attendees can also enjoy free admission to the nearby Arab American National Museum, hot beverages provided by Haraz Coffee House, and engaging stations from LAUNCH Family Entertainment and the Dearborn Public Library.
The festivities continue on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, from 2-6 p.m., with the return of the annual Jingle Bell Bash, hosted by the West Dearborn Downtown Development Authority (WDDDA) at Peace Park West, 22271 West Village Drive.
Bringing in over 1,500 guests in 2024, this event offers free and festive activities for all ages, including facepainting, glitter tattoos, caricature art, balloon twisting, holiday crafts, games, a custom ornament giveaway and more. Santa will also be making an appearance with a few surprise guests.
Participants can enjoy holiday music and other free and festive activities, along with complimentary hot chocolate and other hot beverages, while supplies last.
Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud shared, “This year’s inaugural Downtown Dearborn Ice Sculpture Walk brings a new winter tradition to our community, featuring intricately carved sculptures throughout our walkable downtown. We’re also excited to welcome back the annual, family-friendly Jingle Bell Bash. These Christmas and holiday events are hosted by the East and West Downtown Development Authorities to demonstrate our commitment to celebrating the season in our commercial corridors and creating memorable experiences for all ages.”
The Jingle Bell Bash is presented by the West Downtown Development Authority with support from Bayt Al Mocha, Mati’s Deli, KW Legacy Keller Williams, Dearborn Balloon Decor, and more local partners.
