The City of Dearborn will hold two Music Under the Stars performances in September, reviving a longtime Dearborn tradition of more than four decades. For the first time, the free sunset concerts will take place under candlelight at PEACE Park West, located at 22271 West Village Dr.
The Dearborn Symphony will take center stage at the first Music Under the Stars performance on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at 8 p.m. The National Arab Orchestra will headline a second concert on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 7:30 p.m. Both orchestral concerts are free and open to residents and patrons of all ages.
Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud stated, “The Music Under the Stars program has been a cherished tradition for over 40 years, bringing performances from the area’s vibrant music scene right to the community. We’re proud to bring this tradition back and offer a welcoming space to enjoy diverse musical performances under the stars, enhanced by the glow of candlelight, in beautiful PEACE Park West. It's a platform for community engagement, allowing people to connect with others and celebrate our shared culture through the power of music.”
Refreshments will be available for purchase at the park. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a chair or blanket.
This year’s concert series marks the return of the summer music program after it was placed on hiatus in 2020.
