The Dearborn Administrative Center, the 19th District Court, the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, including Senior Services, the Dearborn Ice Skating Center, and all Dearborn Public Library branches will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, in honor of the Memorial Day holiday.
The Dearborn Administrative Center, 19th District Court, Senior Services, and the Library will also be closed on Tuesday, May 26, in observance of the Eid Al-Adha holiday. The Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the DISC will operate during its regular hours on May 26.
Dunworth and Ford Woods pools will be open on May 25 from 12 to 6 p.m., and on May 26 from 4-7 p.m. All splash pads will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
While fireworks are permitted in observance of Memorial Day, they are only allowed between 11 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. on the Saturday and Sunday immediately preceding Memorial Day. Discharging fireworks outside of permitted hours is prohibited, and the city enforces a zero-tolerance policy for any violations.
The following day, Wednesday, May 27, The Center will host a morning prayer service on the north lawn. Since traffic in the area will be congested and parking limited–if available at all–The Center will not open until noon.
Curbside trash, recycling, Public Service Days, and yard waste collection will be delayed by one day on Monday, May 25.
Collection will resume on Tuesday, May 26, for the Monday collection district. The regular collection schedule will resume on Monday, June 1, 2026.
